If you want to help your neighbors and your community, and you'd like to help prevent more wildfires such as those we suffered in 2007 and previously, please volunteer to help us.
We need assistance from...
- People who work at home during the week, or work close to Lake Hodges.
- People who are retired and can help us in their immediate neighborhoods.
- Teachers, educators and public speakers who can help with our public education programs.
- People with government experience who can communicate on our behalf with local government entities including the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, Rancho Santa Fe Association, Escondido City Council, Rancho Bernardo Community Council, Planning Commissions, etc.
- Former or current fire fighters, paramedics, CERT members, nurses or medical people who can be a liaison with local fire departments in Rancho Santa Fe, Escondido, Cal Fire, San Diego City Fire, Elfin Forest VFD, Ramona Fire and Mount Palomar VFD.
- Someone with law enforcement experience who can be a liaison to the San Diego County Sheriff, Escondido Police, Rancho Santa Fe Patrol, San Diego City Police and CHP.
- People with good bookkeeping skills who can manage our finances and our bank account and help us write grant requests.
